Like many recent smartphones the model will also have a revised aspect ratio of 18:9 instead of the conservative 16:9 ratio
Reports of OnePlus launching the advanced edition of OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T by November, have surfaced. The unconfirmed news of the launch comes just months after OnePlus 5’s launch. It is also surprising as many had expected the Chinese manufacturer to first come up with OnePlus 6.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the new model will come with features and specifications that are slightly different from the original OnePlus 5.
Though not much information is available regarding the smartphone, a picture that is given in the report by GizmoChina, indicates that the model will have looks that are identical to the Galaxy S8.
The image also reveals a near bezel-less display, with thin bezels covering the top and bottom. In addition, the curves on the edges indicate that it will not be a surprise if the model comes with a curved edge display.
Unlike the OnePlus 5, which had a 5.5-inch full-HD display and 1080×1920 pixels of resolution, the OnePlus 5T is expected to have 6-inch full-HD display along with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. Like many recent smartphones, the model will also have a revised aspect ratio of 18:9 instead of the conservative 16:9 ratio.
As the company has been silent about the model, no additional information has trickled down.
An earlier report had claimed that OnePlus will skip 5T and launch the OnePlus 6 instead.
