Pakistan PM Shahid Abbasi summons cabinet for security meet after Trump’s tweet

Trump on Monday accused Pakistan of giving safe haven to the militants that US hunts in Afghanistan, stating, “The US has foolishly given Pakistan more than $33 billion in aid over the last 15 year.”

The Pakistan civil and military leadership is going to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday over US President Donald Trump’s tweet that accused Islamabad of “lies and deceit”.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will chair the huddle to discuss the future course of action, PM’s Office said.  The meeting will be attended by Foreign Minister, Interior Minister, and Minister for Defence, Services Chiefs besides, senior civil and military officers.

Trump on Monday accused Pakistan of giving safe haven to the militants that US hunts in Afghanistan, stating, “The US has foolishly given Pakistan more than $33 billion in aid over the last 15 years and they have given us nothing but lies and deceit. They give safe havens to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!”

After the tweet, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said, “We will respond to President Trump’s tweet shortly. Will let the world know the truth, the difference between facts and fiction.” This comes after the US administration was considering whether to withhold $255 million in aid to Pakistan as it feels Islamabad was not doing enough to counter terrorism. The latest move comes after the US has been denied access to a member of the Taliban-linked Haqqani network who is in Pakistan’s custody.

According to the New York Times, the Haqqani member was one of the abductors who held an American and Canadian, along with their three children, hostage for five years.  US officials told the daily that the Americans demanded access to the man who they feel might have valuable information about the whereabouts of at least one other American hostage. But Pakistani officials rejected the requests.

Trump in the past has threatened to withhold the aid to Pakistan as Washington accuses Islamabad of failure in cooperating on counter-terrorism efforts.

Mr. Trump’s observation is too little and too late. The super power country’s observation regarding Pakistan’s involvement in the terrorism is true and correct. Pakistan has basically no welfare scheme for the welfare the people in Pakistan. Fundamentalist ruling the roots in Pakistan’s administration and this is the main cause of giving shelter to miscreants and terrorists. Nothing equal treatment is being given to all. There is partiality within the country; judicial system in Pakistan is not fair and safe. The main aim of them is to cause disturbance in the neighboring countries, infiltration and terrorism through proxies. It is open secrete that Pakistan’s is training militants and infiltrating them in the neighboring countries to cause harm and destabilize people and the administration. Pakistan.s has single agenda to terrorize the neighbors to bow down before them. Pakistan has no guts to fight from the front to any military of the world, so they adopt proxy war in the form of terrorism. Terrorism is the demon’s choice to defeat others but it has made no sense in the present prospective. If Pakistan wants to prove itself Hero it must leave the destructive path and if there is any grievance to any one, it must talk face to face or if they want to fight , then fight with military not with the innocent people who are daily struggling for their livelihood. No individual from anywhere can defend himself/themselves when an ambush is planted beside him/them. Terrorism must vanish forever.
I personally request Mr. Trump to put Pakistan under the acid test to find out the entire activities of Pakistan. He will candidly find that Pakistan’s people are not safe and sound under iron hands of fundamentalists, misusing youth and ruin their future for ever.
    Thanking you
