UFC fighter Polyana Viana is fearsome women inside Octagon. She has knocked down many opponents while fighting in her career but recently she made the headlines for a different reason. Viana showed everyone that you shouldn’t try to mess with a UFC fighter, no matter if it’s a woman. A man in Rio de Janeiro tried to rob Vianna on the street but he soon found out that it was the biggest mistake of his life. He was brutally beaten down by the Brazillian as he tried to rob her.
Viana was waiting for a cab outside her home in Rio when the man tried to rob her. He tried to scare her by warning to pull out a gun. But Viana made sure that he never forgets the night in his life. She fired off some punches and a kick, before taking control of the robber to the ground, where she locked him up in a rear naked choke. The robber then mercifully asked her to call the police so that he avoids a further beatdown.
“He asked me the time, I said it, and I saw he wasn’t going to leave,” 26-year-old Viana told MMAJunkie. “And then he said, ‘Give me the phone. Don’t try to react, because I’m armed.’ Then he put his hand over [a gun], but I realized it was too soft.”
Viana rightfully guessed that the gun was a fake, made out of a cardboard one. She decided to take the matter into her own hands (pun intended).
“I threw two punches and a kick. He fell, then I caught him in a rear-naked choke. Then I sat him down in the same place we were before.”
She then asked the bystanders to call the police. Surprisingly the robber insisted on being taken by the cops so Viana doesn’t beat him up.
“He said, ‘Call the police, then’ because he was scared I was going to beat him up more,” Polyana revealed.
UFC president Dana White then went on to share a picture of the bloodied robber and Vianna on Twitter.
Viana has 10-2 record in her career so far. She has fought twice in the UFC and has a 1-1 record in the Octagon. She is currently not booked for a fight but that is going to change soon as the UFC would sure look cash in on her surging popularity. Viana last fought in August last year where she lost a decision to JJ Aldrich.
