7th Pay Commission: Employees expect gifts in the festive season, DA will increase again!

In the festive season, central employees can get a gift from the government. Actually, the central government can once again increase the dearness allowance (DA).

This estimate is being made because the data of All India Consumer Price Index has improved. This is how the calculation happens: Let us tell you here that the dearness allowance (DA) given on a half yearly basis is calculated on the basis of All India Consumer Price Index. According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the All India Consumer Price Index for June, 2021 has increased by 1.1 points. The picture till June is clear : In the month of July, the Central Government had announced an increase of 11 percent in the Dearness Allowance (DA) given to the employees. In fact, in view of the unforeseen situation arising out of the Kovid-19 epidemic, three additional installments (4, 4 and 3 per cent) of Dearness Allowance (DA) given to central government employees were stopped. During this, the employees were being given allowance at the rate of 17 percent. Waiting for the half of July: Dearness allowance (DA) is given to central employees twice a year on half yearly basis. The picture of dearness allowance till June 2021 is clear, but the DA for the second half of the year i.e. between July and December is expected to be announced by September or October.
