7th Pay Commission: There may be a jump in the salary of the employees, know how much DA will increase?

7th Pay Commission: If you are a central employee then there is good news for you. AICPI data for January to May 2021 shows that there may be an increase in DA by up to 3 per cent, after which the salary of the employees will increase.

New Delhi. There is a good news for central employees. Actually, there may be an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees (DR) for pensioners. With the increase in DA and DR, more than 1 crore employees will get benefit. The central government had recently announced an increase in DA from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. Due to Kovid-19, the government had frozen DA last year till June 2021.

DA can increase so much

As of now, the Dearness Allowance (DA) for July 2021 has not been decided, AICPI data shows that it may increase by up to 3 per cent. In this way, after increasing by 3 percent, DA will reach 31 percent. According to the information, around Dussehra or Diwali, the central government can announce to increase DA.

Let us tell you, the total dearness allowance has increased by 11 percent as compared to last year. The government has reduced it to 28 percent from July 2021. Now if it increases by 3 percent in June 2021, then it will reach 31 percent with dearness allowance (17+4+3+4+3).

It is derived from the formula DA

Percentage of Dearness Allowance = Average of CPI for the last 12 months – 115.76. Now the amount that comes will be divided by 115.76. The score that will come will be multiplied by 100, usually every 6 months, January and July, Dearness Allowance is changed.

What is Dearness Allowance?

Dearness allowance is such money, which is given to government employees to improve their cost of living. This money is given so that even after rising inflation, there is no difference in the standard of living of the employee. This money is given to government employees, public sector employees and pensioners. Dearness Allowance was first introduced in India in 1972 from Mumbai. After this, the Central Government started giving dearness allowance to all the government employees.
