ODOP Scheme: The purpose of the government is to help the agricultural products of the central government to bring this scheme. The government selected such products being manufactured in MSMEs, which have better potential.
One District One Product Scheme: Gulab in Ajmer, Pomegranate in Barmer, Groundnut in Churu… 33 products focused industries will be set up in 33 districts of Rajasthan. The list of products of 33 districts has been approved by the Central Government’s scheme ‘One District, One Product’ Rajasthan. In order to encourage their best products in 700 districts of the country, the Central Government has started the One District One Product Scheme. In this scheme, work has to be done with all the states. Under this scheme, traditional industries of every district of the state are encouraged. Selecting products with good potential
The Central Government had asked the Rajasthan government for one district one product scheme. After this, the Rajasthan government had selected the products of the districts and sent them to the center. In the beginning of the year 2020 itself, the Rajasthan government had prepared a list of products with the specialty of each district division wise and sent it to the central government. What is the purpose of this scheme?
In fact, the purpose of the government is to help the agricultural products of the central government to bring this scheme. Apart from this, there are other benefits as well. In fact, the Department of Commerce is trying to create a cluster under Agricultural Exports. The Ministry of Agriculture is also working on the same lines. Its objectives are:
- Helping and promoting agricultural products.
- Minimizing losses with their processing.
- Arrange for proper assay and storage.
- Product and Processed Products Marketing.
- To assist in capital investment in the MSMEs associated with the products.
