Rakhi Vijan to play role of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Dayaben is going to return soon in the TV sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. There were speculations that Disha Vakani will once again be seen in Dayaben’s avatar but Disha has been replaced by an actress. Now this new actress is going to play the role of Dayaben in the show.
A few days back, in a conversation with E-Times, Asit Modi had said, ‘Dayaben’s character is going to return in the show but, Disha Vakani will not play it. Auditions are going on for Disha’s replacement and the new actress will be selected soon. Now sources have confirmed that Dayaben’s role has been finalised. Actress Rakhi Vijan, popular for her iconic character Sweety Mathur in the 90s sitcom ‘Hum Paanch’, has been roped in to play Dayaben.
Let us inform that the viewers of the show have been missing their favorite Daya Bhabhi i.e. Disha Vakani for a long time. Disha Vakani played this character for a long time. Disha Vakani took a maternity break in September 2017 and never came back. Makers and fans were waiting for her since then. Many times the news came that Disha is making a comeback but now all the possibilities of her return are over.
Makers approached Rakhi Vijan to play the role of Dayaben. Her comic timing is good. She has previously been a part of shows like ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, ‘Naagin 4’. She has also worked in Bollywood movies like ‘Golmaal Returns’ and she has also been a part of ‘Bigg Boss 2’.
