In this case, a passenger who arrived at IGI Airport has been arrested after some special coins were found in his possession. This case is related to a passenger who arrived at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport from Rome. In this case, this passenger proceeded towards the exit gate after collecting his baggage from the baggage belt. But as soon as he crossed the green channel, the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Customs stopped him and asked him to pass through the Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD).
As soon as these passengers came out of the middle of DFMD, a loud beep started. As soon as the beep started, the AIU officers brought them aside. They were told to take out any items that they were carrying illegally. But, they denied having any such thing. After this, their search began. During the search, a total of four coins were found in their pockets. These coins looked like normal coins.
But, when the AIU investigated through special equipment, it was found that these coins were specially prepared from gold. As soon as this information was received, the gravity of the matter increased. The accused passenger was taken into custody. After this, during the intensive search, seven metal sheets were also recovered from his possession. All these sheets were also prepared from gold. Investigation revealed that about 496 grams of gold was used in preparing the coins and sheets. Investigation of the case is ongoing.
