Work from home: Big announcement..! Work from home and classes will be conducted online, advisory issued due to heavy rain

At some places, there has been heavy loss of life and property. Meanwhile, a heavy rain alert has been issued on Tuesday and an advisory has also been issued by the administration.

Advisory issued

The Gurugram administration has issued a new advisory for Tuesday, September 2. In this, all corporate offices and private institutions have been asked to allow employees to work from home (WFH), while schools have been instructed to conduct online classes. The decision was taken after heavy rains on Monday afternoon, when the city recorded more than 100 mm of rain between 3 pm and 7 pm.

Instructions for working from home

The advisory said that on Tuesday, September 2, all corporate offices and private institutions should allow employees to work from home (WFH) and all schools in the district should conduct online classes. Earlier, the IMD had issued an orange alert for Gurugram, warning of heavy to very heavy rains on Tuesday. Continuous heavy rains in Delhi on Monday caused traffic jams in many areas of the city and vehicular movement was badly affected. Vehicles were stuck for hours on major roads and intersections. Meanwhile, the IMD said that during the rain, visibility at Palam Airport dropped from 2,500 meters at 2:30 pm to just 800 meters at 3 pm.

It will rain till September 5

According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR will continue to receive intermittent rains till September 5. This situation has been created due to both the monsoon and the unusually active western disturbance, which is causing heavy rains in the hilly states and is also affecting the weather of Delhi. On Monday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 30.8 ° C, which is about 3.7 ° C below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 ° C, which is 2.8 ° C below normal.
