UP Weather Update: After the bright sunshine for the last several days, drizzle occurred on Monday amid the movement of clouds. Due to the sudden change in the weather, the maximum temperature fell by three degrees Celsius, which brought a lot of relief from the intense humidity.

The day’s mercury was recorded at 30.4 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of good rain in most of the districts of eastern UP including Lucknow from Tuesday to Thursday amid the withdrawal of monsoon from western Rajasthan. There are signs of monsoon withdrawal in Uttar Pradesh after September 20.

Less rain in eastern UP and more in the west

According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, a low pressure area is forming in the west central Bay of Bengal. With its movement towards central India, the monsoon trough has become ineffective. As a result, there is a possibility of some increase in rainfall activities due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal reaching the eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh.

He said that if we talk about monsoon rains, till now eastern UP has received 17 percent less rainfall than normal and western districts have received 15 percent more rainfall. 734.3 mm rainfall was expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh, but 610.5 mm rainfall was recorded, while western districts were supposed to receive 632.9 mm rainfall, but more than that, 729 mm rainfall was recorded.

The state received five percent less rainfall than the average normal. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of light to heavy rainfall in the capital on Wednesday and Thursday. This will lead to a drop in day and night temperatures and may provide relief from humidity.
