Public Holiday List 2026: The Maharashtra government has announced the official list of public and government holidays for the year 2026. According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, a total of 24 public holidays will be applicable to all government offices, undertakings, and local self-government institutions in the state in the coming year. In addition, a special additional holiday has also been declared for Bhaubij (November 11, 2026).

This government notification aims to facilitate smooth year-round work planning and assist employees in planning their holidays and personal events in advance. The list of holidays includes national festivals celebrated across the country as well as important festivals representing Maharashtra’s culture.
