Earlier this process could also be done online, but now UIDAI has stopped the facility of changing mobile number online. Now you have to do this work offline. Let’s understand the step-by-step process of how the mobile number registered in Aadhaar can be changed. This process is completely offline and biometric verification is necessary for this.

Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhaar service center

First of all, you have to visit your nearest Aadhaar service center or Aadhaar enrollment center. You can find your nearest center by visiting the official website of UIDAI (uidai.gov.in). There, in the “My Aadhaar” section, select the “Locate an Enrolment Center” option and find the center by entering your location.

Step 2: Fill the Aadhaar update/correction form

At the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, you will be given an Aadhaar update or correction form. You can download and fill this form from the UIDAI website in advance and take it to the center. In the form, you have to enter your new mobile number, which you want to link to Aadhaar.

Step 3: Do biometric verification

It usually takes 10 to 30 days for the mobile number to be updated.
