Aadhaar Linking with IRCTC: Through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), railway passengers book tickets for travel in the train. You can book a maximum of 6 online tickets in a month from your IRCTC account, but now 12 tickets can be booked in a month instead of 6 by linking Aadhaar with your IRCTC account. Linking Aadhaar with IRCTC account is easy.

Let’s know how to link IRCTC with Aadhaar…

> First of all go to IRCTC’s official e-ticketing website irctc.co.in.

> After that log in by entering user id and password.

> Then go to the My Account section visible on the home page and click on Aadhaar KYC.

> Then on the next page enter your Aadhaar number and click on Send OTP.

> Now OTP will come on the mobile number registered with Aadhaar Card. This OTP will be used for verification.

> After viewing the information related to Aadhaar, click on Verify written below.

> After this a message will come on the mobile that KYC details have been successfully updated.

To book a ticket, a passenger’s profile must be verified with Aadhaar. It is present in the My Profile tab under the master list itself. Before booking the ticket, here the master list will have to be updated by giving details of the passenger’s name and Aadhar card.

Let us know that it is very easy to book tickets online with IRCTC account. On booking the ticket, along with a message on the mobile number registered by IRCTC, all the details of the ticket confirmation including the name of the passenger, ticket status and fare are given.

Many services are available online through Aadhar Card. For this reason, Aadhar card holders also get all the facilities sitting at home.
