Aadhaar News: If your child is 5 years and 15 years old, then definitely make this updation in Aadhaar

Mandatory Biometric Update of Child Aadhaar: Aadhaar card has become a useful document for us now. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the Aadhaar issuing organization, also issues Aadhaar cards for newborns. But, here we have to keep in mind that if the Aadhaar card is made for a child under 5 years of age, then biometric changes will have to be made twice in it. This update is to be done once at the age of 5 years and the second at the age of 15 years. This updation is mandatory.

Cards can be made at Aadhar Seva Kendra

According to UIDAI, parents can get their child’s Aadhaar card made by visiting any Aadhaar Seva Kendra through the birth certificate ie birth certificate or discharge card / slip issued by the hospital.

Change on 5 and 15 years

According to UIDAI, when your child is 5 years old, it is mandatory to update his biometric details. Similarly, biometric details have to be updated even when the child is 15 years old. Actually, children whose Aadhaar card becomes before 5 years of age do not develop biometrics, fingerprints and pupil of the eyes. Therefore, during the enrollment of such young children, their biometric details are not taken. Therefore, UIDAI has made it necessary to update it on 5 years. Similarly, when a child enters adolescence, there are changes in his biometric parameters. Therefore, UIDAI has once again made it necessary to update the biometric details at the age of 15 years.

How much will it cost?

According to UIDAI, updating the biometric details on the basis of the child is completely free. You do not have to spend even one rupee. Also, whenever you go for the detail update, you will not have to provide any kind of document. Parents can update the biometric details in their child’s Aadhaar card by visiting their nearest Aadhaar center. You can get the information of your nearest Aadhaar center from the UIDAI website.
