Why is Aadhaar updating important?
If there is any change that needs to be incorporated in your Aadhaar database, you should update it to avoid any hassles later. For children, you need to keep in mind that if you have enrolled your child for Aadhaar when he/she was below the age of five, you will have to update the biometric records at least twice – once after he/she has crossed the age of 5 and second after he/she has completed 15 years.
For updates related to biometrics such as fingerprint, iris scan or photo, individuals need to visit Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. For offline update, follow these steps…
Download Form: Download the enrolment/update form from UIDAI website.
Submit at Centre: Fill the form, attach required documents and submit.
Provide Biometric Data: Complete the biometric verification process.
Get Receipt: Get a slip with your URN to track tracking progress.
