The application process for girl students under AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025 has started. Applications can be made for this on the official website. The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 31, 2025. Under this scheme, scholarships are given to 5,000 girl students every year.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the application process on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for Pragati Scholarship 2025 to be given to girl students studying in technical courses. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for this on the official website scholarships.gov.in. The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 31, 2025.
Officials said, ‘Education plays an important role in empowering women through knowledge. They can be empowered with information, skills and confidence to participate in the development process. This is an effort to give young women an opportunity to pursue their education and prepare for a successful future’. Under this scholarship program, 5,000 scholarships are given every year to meritorious girl students pursuing technical education. Under this, every female student gets Rs 50,000 every year for the cost of studies. The scholarship amount can be used to cover tuition fees as well as books, stationery, computers, software, equipment and other academic needs.
Additionally, all eligible girl students from the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep as well as the North Eastern States – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are assured of scholarships upon submission of online application forms.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only girl students can apply for this scholarship program.
- The applicant must be enrolled in the first year of a degree-level course or the second year through lateral entry at an AICTE recognized institute.
- A maximum of two girls from the same family can avail the scholarship.
- The total annual family income from all sources should not exceed Rs 8 lakh.
- Candidates must submit a valid income certificate issued by the respective state or union territory government.
