Airport Closed: Chandigarh Airport will be closed for 13 days, from October 26th to November 7th. During this period, 33 domestic and 2 international flights will be cancelled. This will cause inconvenience to thousands of passengers from Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. Haryana Minister Anil Vij has written a letter to the Union Minister suggesting the use of Ambala Domestic Airport as a temporary alternative.

Anil Vij stated that Ambala Airport is only 50 kilometers from Chandigarh, making it absolutely possible to operate flights from there. The domestic airport in Ambala Cantt is almost ready. Luggage scanners, security machines, and check-in counters have been installed. Police security has also been deployed.

Vij also said that flights could be operated from Ambala while the Chandigarh airport is closed. He wrote a letter to Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ramamohan Naidu on Monday, proposing the Ambala Domestic Airport as a temporary alternative.

The closure of this airport will cause significant inconvenience to passengers, especially those who are planning to travel during these 13 days. Thousands of people from Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh may have to change their travel plans.

The closure of Chandigarh Airport is a major inconvenience. In such a situation, using Ambala Airport could be a good option. This will be a relief for passengers.
