HDFC Bank Credit Card: Do you hold an HDFC Bank Regalia Gold or Diners Privilege credit card? The bank is set to implement significant changes to the reward points regulations for both cards. These changes will come into effect in distinct phases, starting from May 15 and July 1, 2026. Under the new regulations, several card benefits will now be directly linked to your spending—meaning the more you spend, the greater the benefits you will receive.

Changes to the Reward System

Effective May 15, the reward points earned on the Regalia Gold card will be reduced. Previously, spending ₹150 would yield 4 points; however, under the new rules, spending ₹200 will now yield 5 points. This implies that the benefit accrued per rupee spent will be lower than before. Nevertheless, the additional rewards offered within specific categories will remain unchanged.

Fees for Issuing a New Card

Additionally, the DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) charge on international transactions has been increased to 1.75%. Furthermore, in the event of a lost or damaged card, a fee of ₹199 will be charged for the issuance of a replacement card.

Higher Spending Required for Lounge Access

Effective July 1st, airport lounge access will no longer be complimentary. Regalia Gold cardholders will now be required to spend a minimum of ₹60,000 per quarter to qualify for 3 complimentary domestic lounge visits. However, international lounge access—facilitated through the Priority Pass—will continue to be available up to 6 times a year, just as before, without any associated spending conditions. The same rules will apply to Diners Privilege card users; they will be issued vouchers for lounge access, which must be generated via the ‘SmartBuy’ platform.

Launch of the New ‘Travel Edge’ Program

The bank has also introduced a new program named ‘Travel Edge’ specifically for Regalia Gold card users. Under this program, customers can avail themselves of two travel-related benefits per quarter—such as discounts of up to ₹750 on Uber rides, spa services, hotel buffets, or room upgrades. However, uploading a valid boarding pass will be a mandatory requirement to redeem these benefits.
