Airport New Rules: Big news for air passenger! Self check-in and baggage drop facility has started for these passengers

With the help of this digital service, passengers can print their own boarding passes and baggage tags and deposit their bags themselves without standing in line. This reduces the check-in time at the airport considerably.

Airport New Rules: Air India has given a big gift to its passengers. Now passengers will also get the facility of self check-in and baggage drop on flights going to Europe, United Kingdom (UK) and Canada. This facility was earlier available on international flights going to America and Australia and many domestic airports of the country. Now this facility is available at a total of 19 international airports.

The Air India flights on which this facility is now available include London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Birmingham, Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Zurich, Toronto, Vancouver and five cities of America (New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington, San Francisco) as well as Sydney and Melbourne of Australia.

Check-in time will be reduced

With the help of this digital service, passengers can print boarding passes and baggage tags themselves and deposit their bags themselves without standing in line. This significantly reduces the check-in time at the airport and passengers can easily reach the boarding gate. Through the kiosk, passengers can choose their preferred seat, update frequent flyer number and also change contact information. Air India says that this step is another big effort towards providing world-class experience to passengers through better use of technology.

Air India is providing many facilities to its passengers

In the last one year, Air India has taken many customer service initiatives, such as premium lobby (separate check-in for first, business and premium economy passengers), dedicated assistance counter for families (at Delhi airport), and city-side check-in counters in Delhi and Hyderabad. The effect of these initiatives is also clearly visible in Air India’s customer satisfaction score (NPS). Air India has also said that more international airports will be connected with this facility in the coming time.
