Airtel expands free immunization scheme, will provide vaccination to 80,000 employees of partner and distribution network

Telecom company Airtel said it is expanding its free immunization program to about 80,000 employees across over 15,000 partners and distributors. Airtel has partnered with Apollo Hospitals for immunization of its employees and their families and this program is already underway. 




New Delhi: Amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, telecom giant Airtel said it is expanding its free immunization program to around 80,000 employees across over 15,000 partners and distributors, to prioritize vaccination of frontline workers such as stores. .

Airtel has partnered with Apollo Hospitals for immunization of its employees and their dependents. This program is already underway, under which camps are being organized in 35 cities across India. Airtel is bearing the expenses of the vaccination campaign.

Airtel’s Circle CEO has now written to the partners informing about the expansion of immunization to the partners, informing that their customer executives and other frontline employees are also being included in this free vaccination initiative. Sources said that around 80,000 employees from over 15,000 partners and distributors will be involved in the free vaccination drive.

SKF India will bear the cost of children’s education on the death of the employee.

Similarly, automotive and industrial parts maker SKF India said that it will provide financial assistance to employees and their dependents who are infected with the virus. In the event of the death of an employee, the company will bear the cost of education of two children up to class 12th. Apart from this, a lump sum assistance of Rs 5 lakh will also be given to the dependents of working class employees.

MASSA, an association of shipowners, ship managers and agents, has said that it will launch a free vaccination campaign for seafarers in collaboration with various maritime bodies. Shiv Halbe, Chief Executive Officer of MASSA, said that the campaign will start from June 10 and under this, at least 10,000 boatmen will be vaccinated.
