In view of Holi, Shab e Baaraat and Navratras, Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory. The traffic police has appealed to follow the traffic rules on the festivals. The traffic police has made elaborate arrangements to check not to drink and drive, over speeding, red light jumping, triple riding and driving by a minor to ensure safety.

Special investigation teams will be deployed at the main intersections and sensitive places to check those who violate the traffic rules. Simultaneously, radar guns will be deployed on sensitive roads to monitor over-speeding. In the advisory issued by the Traffic Police, it has been said that this time the government has not allowed public programs in Delhi on the occasion of Holi, Shab e Baaraat and Navratri.




With this, according to the Supreme Court Committee, strict action will be taken against those who drink alcohol, over speeding, red light jumping, triple riding and minor driving. According to the committee, in these cases the driving license will be seized and a suspension of 3 months can also be done.

The traffic police has advised to follow these traffic rules:

Do not drive after consuming drugs
Driving at fixed speed limit
Obeying the traffic signal
Not joining racing or competition with other vehicles
Two-wheelers not wearing helmets and triple riding
Do not give your vehicle to any minor or unauthorized person
Doing stunts on two wheeler
Do not celebrate Holi in public places
Masks and social distancing to follow
