Trump’s new tariff will be implemented on India after 21 days. Therefore, India still has time to find a middle way by talking to America. India has the option of taking help from G20 or BRICS
India can raise its voice against Trump’s tariff on the platform of World Trade Organization. India can argue that America’s tariff is full of discrimination, which directly violates the principles of World Trade Organization. The country also has time to gather support on platforms like G20 or BRICS. This can also be a good option. India can ask to balance the effect of tariff by negotiating.
Retaliatory tariff on America
If the issue is not resolved by negotiating with America, then India can retaliate. It can impose retaliatory tariff on America. It has the option of imposing tariff on agricultural products or technical equipment.
