ATM withdrawal rules: If you have an account with Punjab National Bank (PNB) and a debit card, this news is very important for you. PNB has made a significant change to the daily ATM withdrawal limit for its customers. The bank has taken this step to further protect your money and promote digital banking. The changed rules will take effect April 1st.

In a statement posted on its website, the bank stated that it is continuously striving to reduce risk and strengthen customer security. As a result, the ATM withdrawal limit for many debit cards has been reduced. This means you won’t be able to withdraw as large a sum of money from an ATM in a single day as you did before.

There is no change in the limits for transactions made through e-commerce and contactless channels. They will remain unchanged. PNB debit card customers can set or reset their ATM withdrawal limits within the new limits set by the bank through internet banking, the PNB One app, IVR, or WhatsApp banking.

Which cards will be subject to the new rules?

The bank has set new limits for different categories of debit cards. Let’s understand this in simple terms…

First category: Now only Rs 50,000

Cards that previously allowed you to withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh per day will now only be allowed to withdraw Rs 50,000. This category includes the following cards:

· RuPay NCMC Platinum Domestic Debit Card

· RuPay NCMC Platinum International Debit Card

· RuPay Women Power Platinum Debit Card

· RuPay PNB Palash Debit Card (Recycled PVC)

· RuPay Business Platinum NCMC Debit Card

· Mastercard Platinum Debit Card

· Visa Gold Debit Card

· PNB Mastercard Platinum Rise

· Second Tier: Now ₹75,000

The limit on some premium cards has also been reduced. With these cards, you can now withdraw a maximum of ₹75,000 per day, compared to the previous limit of ₹1.5 lakh. These cards include…

RuPay Select Debit Card
PNB RuPay Select Excel
Visa Signature Debit Card
Mastercard Business Debit Card
