Actress Ayesha Khan recently made a shocking revelation. Last year, Ayesha, who appeared in the special number “Shararat” from Aditya Dhar’s film “Dhurandhar,” revealed that she was removed from a song solely because of her body size. She also said that she is sexually harassed on Instagram daily and even receives rape threats.
Ayesha Khan Opens Up About Trolls and Rape Threats

Speaking at the “We the Women” event, Ayesha revealed that when she was in 12th grade, she was cast as the second lead in a T-Series song. But the night before the shoot, she was replaced, calling her “fat.” When asked if she ever felt pressure to look a certain way, Ayesha admitted that it took a long time for her to feel confident about her appearance.
“I’m Sexualized About My Body” – Ayesha Khan

Ayesha further said, “I’m sexualized about my body almost every day on Instagram. If I wear a simple top, people have an issue, even if I wear a skirt. I have to think before posting anything. If I have to think before dressing up or posting something just because someone might look at me inappropriately, it’s very sad. Sometimes I feel like posting whatever comes to my mind, but sometimes I don’t feel like reading the nasty comments where people write about what they would do to me if they got the chance.”

Ayesha further said, “If people who make such comments had the power, they would probably do what they write. What’s terrifying is that these aren’t just words, they’re real people who live around us. I receive rape threats almost every day. I wish some strict action would be taken against this.” Sometimes these things reopen my old wounds and I fear that if I did not have the identity and strength I have today, something might have gone wrong.
