Bank Holidays Next Week India: If you’re planning to complete any important bank-related work in the coming week, it’s a good idea to check the holiday list first. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the annual bank holiday list in advance.
This clearly states which days and cities the banks are closed for and why. Visiting a bank branch without prior information can waste valuable time and cause inconvenience.
Banks will be closed for four days next week. If you’re planning to visit the bank for any transaction, check clearance, or other work, consider these holidays. Let’s find out which days banks will be closed next week…
Banks will be closed in these states on February 18 and 19
If you’re planning to visit the bank on February 18 or 19, first know that these holidays will be in select states, not the entire country. Banks will be closed on February 18 only in Sikkim, where branches will remain closed due to the Losar festival, while normal operations will continue in other states.
The following day, on February 19, banks will be closed in Maharashtra on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. However, banks will remain open in other parts of the country. Therefore, if you live in these states, you should avoid visiting the bank on these days.
Where will banks be closed on February 20th and 22nd?
Banking services will be affected in some states later in the week. Banks will be closed in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on February 20th for State Foundation Day, while operations will continue as normal in the rest of the country.
As February 22nd is a Sunday, all bank branches across the country will be closed. Therefore, if you have any banking related work on these dates, it would be best to complete it in advance.
