Bank Holiday August 2021: Banks will remain closed for 9 days in August, see full list of holidays

Bank Holiday August 2021: According to the Reserve Bank of India, there are 15 days of bank employees’ holidays in August including festivals and weekly holidays.

According to the Reserve Bank of India, there will be a holiday of bank employees on August 19 due to the festival of Muharram. Banks in Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on August 23 on account of Srinarayan Guru’s birth anniversary. Krishna Janmashtami will also be a holiday at the end of this month. August 19 – Muharram holiday – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Srinagar, Raipur.

August 20 – Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram due to Muharram and Onam festivals.

August 21- Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram due to Thiruonam.

August 22 – Sunday – will be a weekly holiday.

August 23 – Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti – Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

August 28 – Fourth Saturday of the month, this day will also be a holiday for bank employees.




29 August – Sunday – Weekly Holiday

August 30 – Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla on account of Janmashtami, Krishna Jayanti.

August 31: Banks will not open in Hyderabad on this day because of Shri Krishna.
