That is, banks are going to be closed for 9 days due to festivals. In the month of September, there is the festival of Onam, Navratri and Eid, due to which banks have got more holidays.
However, customers do not need to worry as digital services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM will continue even on holidays. Only check clearing and other work related to the physical operation of the bank will not be processed these days.
Bank Holiday List for September 2025
3 September (Tuesday): Karma Puja – Banks will remain closed in Ranchi.
4 September (Wednesday): First Onam – Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
5 September (Thursday): Eid-e-Milad, Milad-un-Nabi, Thiruvonam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Indrajatra – Banks will remain closed in many cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai.
6 September (Friday): Indrajatra, Gangtok will remain closed. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
12 September (Thursday): The day after Eid-e-Milad – There will be a holiday in Jaipur, Jammu and Srinagar.
22 September (Monday): Navratri Sthapana – Banks will remain closed in Jaipur.
23 September (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s Birthday – There will be a holiday in Jaipur.
September 29 (Monday): Maha Saptami, Durga Puja – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Jaipur and Kolkata.
September 30 (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami/Durga Puja – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ranchi, Kolkata, Patna, Bhubaneswar and other cities.
