Banks will be closed in the next week in December

Bank holidays will be observed in various states during the third week of December. On Thursday, December 18th, all banks in Meghalaya will be closed to commemorate the death anniversary of Khasi poet U Soso Tham. Banking operations will be suspended in the state on this day. Bank branches will be closed on Friday, December 19th, due to Goa Liberation Day. Both government and private banks in the state will be closed on this day, preventing customers from visiting branches.

Banks will be closed for five days.

Banks in Sikkim will be closed on Saturday, December 20th, due to the Losung Namsung festival. Banks will be closed on Sunday, December 21st, due to the weekly holiday. Banks will also be closed on Monday, December 22nd, due to the Losung or Namsung festival in Sikkim. Consequently, branch services will be suspended for three consecutive days in Sikkim.

Banks will be closed in Sikkim due to the Losoong/Namsung festival.

December 24 (Wednesday)

Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Mizoram will observe Christmas Eve holidays.

December 25 (Thursday)

Banks will be closed in India for Christmas.

December 26 (Friday)

Banks will remain closed for four consecutive days, with the three northeastern states remaining closed for the Christmas holiday.

December 27 – Fourth Saturday

December 28 – Sunday

December 30 (Tuesday)

Banks will be closed in Meghalaya on the death anniversary of freedom fighter U Kyang Nangbah.

December 31 (Wednesday)

Banks will be closed in Mizoram and Manipur for New Year’s Eve and the Imoinu Iratpa festival.
