January 2nd will be a holiday in Aizawl, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram due to New Year celebrations and Mannam Jayanti. January 16, 2026 (Friday): Thiruvalluvar Day, holiday in Chennai

January 17, 2026 (Saturday): Uzhavar Thirunal, bank closure in Chennai.

January 18, 2026 (Sunday): Weekly holiday

January 23, 2026 (Friday): Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti/Saraswati Puja/Basant Panchami, bank closure in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, and Kolkata.

January 24, 2026 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday of the month, all banks closed.

January 25, 2026 (Sunday): Weekly holiday

January 26, 2026 (Monday): Republic Day, banks closed in most cities across the country

Although bank branches are closed, UPI, mobile banking, internet banking, and ATM services will remain operational as usual. It is best to complete important branch-related work before the holidays to avoid any problems in the New Year.
