Bank Service: Big news for bank customers! Now you can talk to the officials of this bank on video call 24X7 365 days to solve your problems, view details

Bank Service: The bank claims to be the first bank in India to provide 24X7 video banking facility to its customers for 365 days. According to Uttam Tibrewal, Executive Director, AU Small Finance, “This facility is available to the bank’s customers regardless of the type of banking relationship they have (credit card, loan, savings, digital savings, basic service savings, current account, etc.) ” Edge.

“Even Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account holders of AU SFB can avail this video banking service for free,” Tibrewal adds.

“Even on holidays and weekends, AU’s dedicated team would ensure face-to-face, human-centric interactions, underscoring the bank’s commitment to enhancing nationwide banking experiences. Further all video bankers are on-roll employees and the video banking service is available 24X7 for 365 days. For example, it will be available even at 1 AM on a Sunday,” says Tibrewal.

“In addition AU SFB adheres to all data security principles and guidelines issued by regulators,” Tibrewal adds.

What are the transactions that can be done?

In the release, AU SFB said that their customers could use more than 400 plus services through the 24X7 video banking feature.

Some of these 400 plus features include updating your address, loan enquiries, credit card KYC, fixed deposit and recurring deposit creation and liquidation, FasTag recharge, cheque book request and others, as per the bank’s website. Apart from these features one can also open a savings account and complete their full KYC process using video banking from 8am till 8pm.

What are the transactions that cannot be done?

“It is not possible to offer some banking transactions via video banking. Namely, cash related transactions, cheque depositing and all financial transactions between 8pm to 8am,” says Tibrewal.

“NEFT, IMPS and all other financial transactions can be done via video banking from 8am to 8pm only,” Tibrewal clarifies.

What security measures are taken?

The AU SFB release said that this 24X7 video calling feature deployed an advanced encryption layer for transmitting data between the customer’s device to the bank’s servers.

On top of that the bank has also used an artificial intelligence (AI) powered program to detect faces of the customers’. This will help ensure that only the account holder is interacting with the bank and not anyone else. . Further traditional security measures like mobile OTP verification, personalised security questions, etc are also used. .

What do you need to use this service?

Customers of AU SFB need to be in a well lit room (for the facial recognition to work) and have a stable internet connection. According to the AU SFB website, you should be at least 18 years old and “located within India while doing the video call.”

You can either use your smartphone, tablet, laptop or a computer with a webcam and speaker to connect with a video banking official.
