New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a reward of ₹131 crore for the Indian team, which won the men’s T20 World Cup for the third time. This amount will be divided among the team’s 15 players, coaching staff, and other support staff.
According to sources, the players of the team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, will receive the lion’s share of the rewards. Support staff will receive prize money based on their roles and positions.
It is reported that each of the 15 players will receive approximately ₹6 crore (approximately $60 million). The remaining ₹41 crore (approximately $40 million) will be distributed among the coaching and support staff. This is ₹6 crore (approximately $1.25 billion) more than the 2024 champion team, captained by Rohit Sharma.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia issued a statement saying that the Board congratulates the players, coaching staff and selectors for this historic achievement and wishes them good performance in the future also.
