Indian Railways is starting Bharat Gaurav train under Dekho Apna Desh in which pilgrims will get 33% discount. This train will run from Dhanbad on 31st May and will provide darshan of many religious places like Ujjain Dwarka Somnath and Shirdi. Passengers can travel in sleeper class for Rs 23575 and in 3AC class for Rs 39990.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC Bharat Gaurav Train), a branch of Indian Railways, is going to start Bharat Gaurav Train under ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ to promote Indian Railway Tourism.
Under the Bharat Gaurav Train scheme, Indian Railways is giving 33 percent concession in travel fare to the people with the aim of visiting various tourist places of the country and to promote rail tourism.
The train will pass through these stations
This tourist train will run from Dhanbad on May 31, which will stop at Hazaribagh, Koderma, Gaya, Rajgir, Bihar Sharif, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Dwiladarnagar and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay station for boarding of pilgrims.
This information was given to the media by Vishwaranjan Shahar, Area Officer Sunil Kumar and Chief Supervisor Tourism Sanjeev Kumar, officials of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, a branch of Indian Railways, during a press conference held at a hotel auditorium located on Dak Bungalow Road in the city.
Officials said that to promote tourism in the country, Indian Railways has planned to take people on a tour of major tourist destinations of the country under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ programme.

Under this scheme, the railways is starting a Bharat Gaurav train. This tourist train will return on June 12 after visiting major pilgrimage sites of the country such as Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain, Shri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Shri Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, Shri Somnath Jyotirlinga in Somnath, Shirdi Sai Baba Darshan and Shri Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nasik, Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga in Pune, Ghushneshwar Jyotirlinga in Aurangabad.
People will be able to travel in the tourist train at a 33 percent concessional rate.
It was told that passengers will have to pay Rs 23,575 per person for traveling in sleeper class. Whereas, under the comfort system, people will have to pay Rs 39,990 per person for traveling in 3 AC class.
Passengers will be provided with night stay in AC/Non AC hotel as per their category, vegetarian food, morning, lunch and dinner, morning and evening tea and 1 bottle of water every day, AC/Non AC bus facility will be provided for travelling, security guards, cleaners and tour escort will be available in the coach.
