Nitish government presented the budget (Bihar Budget 2025-26) for the financial year 2025-26 on March 3. The government focused mainly on youth, women and farmers. Along with this, the state government has also laid special emphasis on infrastructure development. In this episode, the government proposed airports in 7 big cities.

Along with this, Nitish government will spend more than 15 thousand crores on rural roads. Modern bus stands will be constructed in every district.

Presenting the budget in the assembly, Samrat Choudhary said that the government is focusing on every sector and development is taking place continuously under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish.

How much will the government spend on infrastructure?

First of all, let’s talk about the airport. The state government has made it clear through its budget that improving air connectivity in the state is included in its main agenda.

Samrat Choudhary told the House that the government will build airports in 7 cities. Samrat Choudhary also gave an update about Purnia airport. Samrat Choudhary said that in the next 3 months, an airplane will take off from Purnia airport.

In which cities will airports be built?

Similarly, small airports and Bhagalpur, Valmikinagar, Virpur (Supaul), Madhubani, Munger and Saharsa airports as well as Muzaffarpur airport will be developed under the Udan scheme. All these schemes will strengthen air connectivity in Bihar and promote regional economic development.

Government’s focus on rural roads too

Nitish government is also focusing on rural roads. The government will spend more than 15 crores.

Modern bus stands will be built

All the bus stands in the state will be developed in a modern way. At the same time, Nitish government has allotted Rs 2160 crore for the municipal bodies.

Establishment of Bihar Integrated Center

Bihar Integrated Center will be established in some other major metro cities of the country (apart from Delhi and Mumbai).

  • Organization of cultural festivals and celebrations along with the promotion of folk art and culture of Bihar

  • An integrated center will be established for works like providing housing facilities for the people of Bihar on the lines of Bihar Bhawan/Bihar Sadan.
