new Delhi. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (and Highways) has amended the motor vehicle rules. After which the details of the ownership (Ownership details) will have to be clearly added in the registration document of the vehicles. According to the ministry, this notification has been released on Friday. Explain that this amendment in the motor vehicle rules will give a big benefit to the disabled.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the forms were given for the registration of motor vehicles. In them, the ownership details of the vehicles were not clearly recorded. Which was brought to the notice of the ministry many times. After which the Ministry amended the Form 20 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules-1989 and issued its notification on 22 October 2020. After this amendment, now ownership details will be recorded at the time of registration of vehicles,

Ownership details of vehicles will be entered in different categories

After the amendment in the Motor Vehicles Rule, the ownership details will be registered in different categories in the registration of vehicles. The categories which are as follows are Autonomous Body, Central Government, Charitable Trust, Driving Training School, PwD, Educational Institute, Local Authority, Multiple Owners, Police Department, etc.



Disabled people will get the benefits of government schemes

GST and other exemptions are given to the PwDs under various schemes of the government in the purchase, ownership and operation of motor vehicles. The details of PwD are not recorded from the details that are currently registered under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. Due to this, the disabled do not get the benefits of government schemes. After this amendment, now such ownership details will be properly registered and PwD will be able to take benefits of various schemes.
