He said that privatization will benefit banks and will improve the functioning of banks.

Sitharaman said, ‘A Development Financial Institution (DFI) is not enough for an aspirational India. There will be a provision for private MFIs in the amendments. I will make room for private DFI. He said that there is a need for more efficient banks in the economy, there cannot be laggards, we have worked extensively with RBI on bank privatization.

Explain that in the budget 2021, the central government has doubled the amount allocated in the budget for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) as compared to the previous time. On this, Nirmala Sitharaman said, ‘We have taken many steps to help micro, small and medium enterprises. In this budget, we have given Rs 15,700 crore to this sector, which is double of last year’s budget.

Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed to increase capital expenditure by 34.5 per cent to Rs 5.5 lakh crore in FY 2021-22 to accelerate economic growth through creation of basic infrastructure in the country. It has been targeted to raise Rs 1.75 lakh crore in FY 2021-22 from stake sale in public sector undertakings and financial institutions. With this, a provision of Rs 35,000 crore has been made for the vaccination campaign of Corona.
