Bihar Assembly Election 2025: E-EPIC (Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card) is a digital version of your voter ID card. You can store it on your mobile phone.
Voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 is taking place today (November 6) for 121 seats in 18 districts, while the second phase will be held on November 11.
If you want to know whether your name is in the voter list or not or you want to download your digital voter card (e-Voter ID), then now you can do all this online from your mobile or computer sitting at home.
The Election Commission has launched a simple online portal to check whether your name is on the voter list. First, visit the official website, https://voters.eci.gov.in/.
Click on the Search Your Name in Voter List option on https://voters.eci.gov.in/. You will now be presented with two options: Search by EPIC number (Voter Identification Number) or search by name, state, and date of birth.
Enter the captcha code and click Search. If your name is on the voter list, your complete details will appear on the screen.
If you have already made a voter card, then its digital version – e-Voter ID (e-EPIC) can be downloaded.
To download your e-Voter ID, open the website https://voters.eci.gov.in/. Click on Download e-EPIC. Log in with your EPIC number or mobile number. Complete the verification by entering the OTP. Click on Download e-EPIC and your e-Voter card will be downloaded. You can save it to your mobile or print it and use it.
e-EPIC (Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card) is essentially a digital version of your voter card. It contains a secure QR code that encrypts voter information. You can store it on your mobile phone and show it as your identification card on polling day.
To download your e-voter ID, your mobile number must be registered in the voter list. If not, it can be updated by filling out Form 8A.
If you do not have a voter card on the day of voting, you can use any of the 12 valid identity cards (like Aadhar card, passport, driving license, bank passbook etc.).
