BSNL discontinues these prepaid broadband plans, existing customers will shift to postpaid!

Interested customers can also shift to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or Bharat Air Fiber (BAF) connection. Notably, DSL broadband connections have limits on download and upload speeds.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has reportedly stopped all its prepaid broadband services in telecom circles. This prepaid broadband service is available only in the DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) segment and the subscribers get unlimited high-speed broadband internet without any monthly bills.

It is being said that due to low prepaid broadband subscribers, BSNL has decided to do away with it and shift the existing customers to postpaid. BSNL prepaid broadband service comes with benefits like mobile mobility, control over internet charges, sharing of DSN broadband connection.

As per the report of KeralaTelecom , BSNLThe officials have directed all telecom circles to take action and shift existing prepaid DSL broadband customers to postpace DSL broadband. The balance of the existing prepaid account will be credited to the new postpaid account. The report says that interested customers can also shift to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or Bharat Air Fiber (BAF) connection. Notably, DSL broadband connections have limits on download and upload speeds. We have also got in touch with the PSU for more details in this regard.

As we mentioned, BSNL has taken this step because the prepaid broadband customer base segment of the company is very less. Despite the starting price of prepaid broadband packs starting from Rs 200, few people are attracted towards it. These plans allow users to connect to their broadband accounts across the country over an Internet-enabled telephone line.

BSNL has also introduced a special discount scheme to shift from prepaid DSL broadband connection. In this, those customers will get a discount of Rs 600, who are shifting from prepaid to postpaid.
