Budget 2021: Treasury opened for rapid rail project, 4472 crore to get traffic speed, connectivity will be easy for these cities

Budget 2021: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the third time in Parliament on Monday. Modi government made many big announcements in the budget. In the general budget presented on Monday, it has taken a big step towards improving the movement between the cities connected with the capital. In this episode, the government has also opened its treasury for the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Project. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced Rs 4472 crore for Rapid Rail.




Explain that in the budget presented on Monday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an allocation of Rs 4472 crore for public transport rapid rail, twice as much as 2487.40 crore for the financial year 2020-21. With this announcement, it is expected that by the year 2025, the country’s first rapid rail will start running on this corridor.

The government is serious about railways, the backbone of the Indian traffic system. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the blueprint of long-term National Scheme for Railways. The aim is to prepare the railway system for the future by the year 2030, so that the logistics cost for the industries can be reduced. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the metro services will be available as public transport through the new technology of Metro lights and Metro Neo in Tier-1 connected areas and Tier 2 cities.

The Finance Minister said that it gives the same experience of traveling in the metro at a lower cost. Emphasis is laid on the expansion of metro projects in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

  • 1957.05 crore for Phase-2 Kochi Metro Railway of 11.5 km.
  • 63246 crores for 118.9 km Chennai Metro Railway Phase-2.
  • 14788 crores for 58.19 km Bangalore Metro Railway Project Phase 2A and Phase 2B.
  • Rs 5976 crore for Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase-2 and Rs 2092 crore for Nashik Metro
