Canceled Trains List: Many Trains Canceled Due To Heavy Rain, Their Route Changed, Check List Here

Heavy rains are continuing across Maharashtra at this time. Life has come to a standstill and due to this some services of Indian Railways have also been disrupted. Southern Railway has informed the passengers by tweeting that it has changed some rail services. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Maharashtra in the coming hours. Due to heavy rains on Wednesday and Thursday, the railway tracks were flooded. Due to this, Southern Railway has had to cancel some services. Many trains of Central Railway have been cancelled. While train services were also disrupted on other lines. The water level in the Vashistha river has crossed the danger mark on the Konkan Railway route connecting Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. Due to this, it has been decided to change the train services slightly after the railway tracks overflow between Chiplun and Kamathe stations.




It has been told by tweeting from the side of Southern Railway that 02618 Hazrat Nizamuddin to Ernakulam special train which left Hazrat Nizamuddin on 22nd July will now go via Manmad, Daund, Pune, Miraj, Londa and Margao junctions. Apart from this, the trains which have been canceled include 06163 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Kachuveli ‘Garib Rath’. There is a train running two days in this week. It was to leave from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai on 23 July at 4:55 pm. At present it has been canceled till further orders.

On behalf of Baban Ghatge, Deputy General Manager, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, told news agency PTI that 8 trains have been canceled at present due to the disruption of the rail route. The route through which these trains pass is spread over Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. It is one of the challenging areas. It has many rivers, valleys and mountains. Train operations from Titwala to Igatpuri (in Nashik district adjoining Thane) and Ambernath to Lonavala were suspended following reports of track submersion, boulder accidents and landslides at several places.




Let us tell you that apart from the capital Mumbai in Maharashtra, flood situation has arisen due to heavy rains in many districts including Sangli, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Kolhapur. Many rivers of the state are also in spate. Apart from the teams of local administration, teams of Air Force and NDRF have also been sent for relief and rescue. Indian Army and Navy personnel have also been deployed for relief and rescue operations in Ratnagiri and Raigad.Due to heavy rains, there is a view of flood around the Bhimashankar temple of Pune. This temple is considered to be one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the country. Maharashtra is on alert after incessant rains wreaking havoc in many parts of the state. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray took stock of the flood situation in Ratnagiri and Raigad districts on 22 July. Waterlogging has occurred in many areas due to continuous rain for 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert on the Konkan coast for the next three days.
