CM Yogi gave instructions to buy wheat from April 1, farmers will get so much money on new MSP

CM Yogi was reviewing with the departmental officials regarding the timetable and proposed purchasing policy related to wheat procurement 2021-22 on Friday. The Chief Minister said that on the lines of sugarcane farmers, the facility of online slip should also be provided to wheat farmers. While deciding the new policy, keep in mind that, purchasing agencies whose record is not correct, should not be given work. Geo-tagging should be done for all purchasing centers including storage godowns. This will facilitate the farmers.




Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath) has given instructions to start buying wheat from April 1. The Chief Minister has said that farmers should not have problems at any purchasing center. For this, adequate arrangements should be made for the safety of wheat everywhere, whether it is a storage warehouse or a purchasing center. CM Yogi said that the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat has been fixed at ₹ 1975 per quintal, increasing by ₹ 50 this year as compared to the previous year. In every case, farmers should get the benefit of MSP.

Chief Minister has also instructed to arrange wheat procurement at purchasing centers by biometric authentication through e-pop machines as much as possible this year for transparency. He said that, like last year, wheat should be procured from sharecroppers this year too. In addition, he also instructed to take care of the provisions of the Ceiling Act in the registration of farmers. The CM said that for the convenience of the farmers, it was necessary to put up a road signs for the purchase centers and to make wall paintings containing information of the purchasing centers in the gram panchayats.

‘No compromise with transparency’

CM Yogi gave clear instructions to departmental officers that wheat should be procured with complete transparency at all purchasing centers. It should be ensured that the farmer does not have any inconvenience in selling his produce. The farmers’ produce should be paid in a time bound manner. Also, regular monitoring of wheat procurement process by the officials and surprise inspection of the purchasing centers should be done. April-May will be the summer season, with the possibility of rain. In such a situation, purchasing centers should have water, drinking water, seating arrangement etc.

during the review Principal Secretary Food and Civil Supplies Veena Kumari gave a presentation in connection with the proposed purchasing policy chief, on which Chief Minister also gave various suggestions. He informed that electronic fork, moisture measuring device, winching fan and double mesh gauze will be made available at each purchasing center. All these devices will be made available by 10 March.
