COVID-19 Insurance: What is the difference between Corona Armor and Corona Guard Policy, understand here

Corona Kavach And Corona Rakshak: Both these policies are for a short period – three and a half months, 6 and a half months and 9 and a half months.

The corona epidemic was on one side and rising medical expenses on the other. With the aim of providing financial security cover for medical expenses at the time of Corona, the insurance regulator IRDAI had given instructions to launch standard health plan for Corona and now every insurance company is giving these schemes. These are – Corona Kavach Policy and Corona Rakshak Policy. These include insurance from the cost of corona treatment to hospitalization.

Both these policies are for a short period – three and a half months, 6 and a half months and 9 and a half months. Earlier it was applicable till 31st March but in view of the epidemic, now insurance companies can issue this policy till 30th September and renew it.

There are two policies but which one should you take? What is the difference between Corona Guard and Corona Armor?

Corona Kavach: What is the Corona Armor Policy?

If you want to get corona insurance for the whole family, then this policy is better. In this, not only the cover is more than the corona guard, but also the minimum duration of hospitalization is 24 hours. The amount of your hospital bill in the corona shell will be compensated by the sum assured of the policy. But the bill will cover the policy cover. In Corona Armor, you can cover yourself and family in the policy. Under this policy, a sum insured of at least 50 thousand rupees will have to be taken and a maximum cover of 5 lakh rupees can be taken.

Keep in mind that the policy (Corona Kavach) has a waiting period of 15 days. That is, you will get the benefit of cover only after 15 days of buying the policy. The policy cover includes up to 2000 rupees on ambulance, doctor’s and surgeon’s fees from admission to ICU. You can take the claim both before and after the recruitment.

Another special thing in this policy is that every day expenses are also reimbursed. This is called ‘Daily Cash Benefit’. You can claim 0.5% of the sum insured for 15 days as medical expenses of Rojona.

The features of the policy will be the same with every insurance company but its premium may be different.

Features of Corona Guard Policy

If you want to take cover only for yourself, you can choose Corona Rakshak. However, in this policy, it is mandatory for you to be admitted to the hospital for at least 72 hours for a claim. At the same time, after reimbursing this policy expense, it will give you the entire amount of sum insured upon being admitted to the hospital. That is, in this policy you do not need to keep the hospital bills. The maximum cover limit in this is 2.5 lakh rupees. However, the waiting period is the same as that of the corona armor 15 days.

The corona protector also includes all hospital expenses. But the condition is that you have to take the test only from a valid testing center.
