According to the Indian Express news, DRI officials had received intelligence about Krunal Pandya. On this basis, 29-year-old Krunal Pandya was detained at Mumbai Airport. Two diamond-studded watches allegedly owned by Krunal Pandya were the Audemars Piget model and two Rolex models. He did not pay custom duty (customs) for these watches. According to sources, the total value of these watches is around one crore rupees. Sources said that the team of Mumbai Indians reached Mumbai Airport by chartered flight at around 4:30 pm on November 12. Pandya was interrogated for about three hours. He was released after confiscating the watches near Krunal.
Sources said, the case and watches have been handed over to the Customs Unit (Customs Unit) at Mumbai Airport. If Krunal wants to get the watches, he will have to pay custom duty and fine. In this case, imported precious watches can attract 38.5 per cent custom duty. They can bring free goods up to custom duty of only 35 thousand rupees.
