Cyclone WIPHA: Cyclone Vipha will wreak havoc, winds will blow at a speed of 50 along with heavy rain

Cyclone WIPHA: Cyclone Wipha is about to enter. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding this. Due to the cyclone, a low pressure area is being formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to which heavy to very heavy rains are expected in many states of the country.

Cyclone WIPHA: Due to the cyclonic storm, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in many states of the country. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh in the next 6 to 7 days. Heavy to very heavy rains are also expected in the eastern and central parts of the country (Ganga West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand) during 24 to 28 July. Extremely heavy rains are expected in Odisha on 25 July. During this time, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Low pressure area formed due to cyclonic storm

Issuing an update on cyclonic storm Vipha, the Meteorological Department said, “The remnant of tropical cyclone WIPHA has emerged over North Bay of Bengal. A low pressure area formed this morning due to the cyclone. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and form a low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts during the next 24 hours. It is likely to continue moving west-northwestwards towards West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha coasts during the next 24 hours.”

Warning for fishermen

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for fishermen regarding cyclonic storm Vipha. In which fishermen have been advised not to go to these areas from July 24 to July 28, 2025.

Arabian Sea: Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala coasts and adjoining sea areas; Lakshadweep, Maldives, Comorin areas, many parts of southeast, east-central, north-east Arabian Sea and adjoining areas of southwest, west-central Arabian Sea; Somalia coast and adjoining sea areas, south Oman and adjoining Yemen coast and adjoining sea areas; parts of north Arabian Sea adjoining central Arabian Sea during 23 to 28 July.

Bay of Bengal: South and central Bay of Bengal along and adjoining Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh coasts; Gulf of Mannar, Andaman Sea from 23 to 28 July; Odisha, Gangetic coast of West Bengal, Bangladesh, Myanmar coast; Northern Bay of Bengal during 24th to 28th July.
