How much will the dearness allowance increase?

When did the DA score come?

Labor Bureau has released the numbers of All India Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers) for 3 months. Among these, the index was strong in January. There was a slight decline in February. But, once again there was a good jump in March. The index has increased from 132.7 points to 133.3 points. Total increased by 0.6 points. On a month-to-month basis, the index has gained 0.45 per cent. It increased by 0.80 percent on an annual basis. The dearness allowance score was 43.08 percent in January, 43.79 percent in February and 44.46 percent in March. Now how much it increases in April will be announced on May 31.

How much will DA increase?

So far in 3 months, the total dearness allowance has increased by more than two percent. In December, the index was at 132.3 points and the dearness allowance was 42.37 per cent. From January 2023, central employees are being paid at the rate of 42 per cent. According to the data that came in March 2023 last month, the index has reached 133.3. At the same time, the dearness allowance has been increased to 44.46 percent. According to experts, now a jump of 1.5 per cent is visible in the dearness allowance. If this happens, then the total increase of 4 percent is certain. Dearness allowance will reach 46 percent.

How much dearness allowance increased every now and then

According to the 7th Pay Commission, the dearness allowance for January 2023 was also increased by 4 percent. However, the inflation figure for industrial workers does not always remain the same. That’s why it is not certain that dearness allowance will increase at the rate of 4 per cent only if it is increased twice every year. But, this is happening for the last three times. In the year 2022 also there was an increase of 4 percent.
