After government employees and pensioners, now the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of the state has increased the dearness allowance of all the officers, employees and pensioners of UPCL. The new rates will be applicable from January 2025.

The new rates will be applicable from January 2025, in such a situation, arrears from January to April will also be available. From May 1, officers and employees will get dearness allowance at this rate along with regular salary. All pensioners will also be paid dearness allowance at this rate. It will be paid in June.
Arrears from January to April will be paid in cash
The order states that the arrears of revised dearness allowance from 01 January to 30 April, 2025 will be paid in cash and from 01 May, 2025, dearness allowance will be paid to officers/employees regularly along with salary. The remaining cash will be paid to the personnel covered under the Employees Provident Fund after deducting 12% of the arrears of dearness allowance as EPF contribution.
Dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners has also increased
In the first week of May, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of the state had increased the dearness allowance / dearness relief of government employees and pensioners, after which the DA has increased from 53% to 55% like the Center. The new rates will be applicable from January 2025, in such a situation, arrears from January to April will be available. This will benefit 1,70,000 employees and 1,45,000 pensioners.
Its benefit will be available to the personnel / civil / family / pensioners of the state government / local bodies, aided educational institutions, state universities and technical educational institutions and personnel / civil / family pensioners working in UGC pay scales. This will increase the salary by up to Rs 4000. The increased DA will be available in June along with the salary of May.
