Kerala DA Hike: The Kerala government has approved another installment of dearness allowance (DA) for state employees and teachers and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners. Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal gave this information on Saturday. According to news agency PTI, Balagopal has said that the revised amount will be applicable from the due salary and pension on September 1. Employees under the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Medical Services will also get the benefit.

The Kerala government had also released two installments of DA and DR last year. Balagopal said that the state government has fulfilled the promise of pay revision despite the financial crisis during the years of the Kovid-19 pandemic and the employees and pensioners have been paid DA and other benefits in cash since the beginning of the financial year 2021-22.
