DDA launches housing scheme: If you’re planning to buy a home in the national capital, Delhi, the year 2026 brings a significant opportunity. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officially launched its “Premium Housing Scheme 2026” on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Under this ambitious scheme, a total of 582 properties in prime locations across Delhi have been made available for sale through e-auction.

The primary objective of this initiative by the DDA is to provide housing to all segments of the population, from the high-income group (HIG) to the economically weaker section (EWS/Janata), according to their preferences and budgets in safe and developed areas of the capital. The distribution of flats under the scheme and their reserve prices have been kept quite broad.

In which areas are the flats available?

For the High Income Group (HIG), 15 flats are available in posh areas like Jasola, with prices starting at ₹2.14 crore. Meanwhile, SFS flats in areas like Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, and Rohini are priced between ₹99 lakh and ₹1.21 crore. For the Middle Income Group (MIG), options range from ₹53 lakh to ₹1.45 crore in areas like Dilshad Garden and Jahangirpuri. Furthermore, LIG flats are available in areas like Vikaspuri and Paschim Vihar, ranging from ₹24 lakh to ₹1.23 crore, while affordable flats in the Janta and EHS categories are available at prices ranging from ₹10 lakh to ₹55 lakh.

Garage facilities will also be available.

This time, DDA has not only implemented e-auctions for flats, but also, for the first time, has addressed the parking problem. People seeking dedicated parking spaces in congested areas like Ashok Vihar, Mall Road, Rohini, and Pitampura can bid for these garages, with reserve prices ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹15 lakh. This facility will be especially beneficial for buyers seeking a permanent solution to protect their vehicles.

How to apply?

To participate in this e-auction process, interested applicants must first pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,500. Subsequently, they must deposit an earnest money deposit (EMD) based on the flat category, with the minimum amount set at ₹15 lakh for HIG, ₹10 lakh for MIG/SFS, and ₹2 lakh for LIG/Janata flats. The EMD for a car parking garage is ₹1 lakh, and for a scooter garage, ₹50,000. The application and EMD submission process began on January 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Regarding important dates related to the scheme, the last date for registration is February 13, and final submission of documents is allowed until February 16. Demo sessions will be held from February 20 to 22 for applicants to understand the nuances of the auction, after which the main e-auction will be held from February 23 to 27. Interested buyers can register by visiting the DDA’s official website, eservices.dda.org.in, and secure their dream home through digital bidding.
