There’s some big news for those dreaming of owning a home in Delhi. In a time of rising property prices and expensive home loans, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has once again brought affordable housing to the common man and middle class. Under the Citizen Housing Scheme 2026, the DDA has announced the sale of 1,712 flats in the capital, offering flat discounts of up to 25%. Significantly, the entire process is online, making home purchase easier than ever.
Registration Begins Saturday
The DDA began the registration process for flats under the scheme on Saturday. Interested buyers can apply by visiting the DDA’s official website. After registration, bookings will begin on January 28th. According to DDA officials, the scheme aims to provide affordable and safe housing to as many people as possible.
Flats will be available in Narela and Siraspur
This scheme includes flats built in the Narela and Siraspur areas of Delhi. Narela offers 298 HIG, 459 MIG, 481 LIG, and 63 EWS flats. Siraspur also has 411 LIG flats. The availability of flats for different income groups is expected to significantly benefit first-time homebuyers.
The booking process will be completely online
This time, the DDA has made the entire booking process online. Applicants will be able to register from home, but will also be able to make payments and upload documents. This will increase transparency and reduce the role of brokers.
Opportunities will also be available in the Premium Housing Scheme
In addition, online e-auctions for 582 flats and garages will be held under the Premium Housing Scheme 2026. Registrations can be made until February 13th, while the e-auction process will begin on February 23rd.
