Delhi Meerut Expressway: Vehicles traveling daily on the expressway will get CashBack on Toll Tax

Delhi Meerut Expressway: Special pass will be issued to daily travellers. This pass will be linked to the FASTag of that vehicle so that cashback can be given.


The journey from Delhi to Meerut has become easy. People are reaching Delhi from Meerut in just 45 to 60 minutes by filling their vehicles on Delhi Meerut Expressway. Now soon the toll collection on the expressway (Delhi Meerut Expressway Toll Tax) will start. For this, the ministry has already issued the rate card of toll tax . However, with the introduction of toll collection, those people who commute daily from Meerut to Delhi in their vehicles are more worried, because their expenditure will increase. But you need not worry, as NHAI has planned to give cash back to 60 traveling vehicles on the expressway. This will give a lot of relief to the daily traveller.

Toll fee for 10 journeys will be refunded

In fact, vehicles commuting daily on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will get a special discount on 10 journeys and they will not have to pay any fee for it. According to NHAI officials, the daily toll fee will be deducted from the FASTag account of vehicles traveling daily (Delhi to Meerut up-down i.e. 60 journeys) on the expressway, but at the end of the month, the amount of toll fee for 10 journeys will be returned to their account. will be given. It will be like cash back in a way, for this special passes will be issued to daily travelers. This pass will be linked to the FASTag of that vehicle, in which case the amount of 10 trips deducted from the FASTag account will be returned as cash back at the end of the month.


Special FASTag will be imposed on VIP vehicles

According to NHAI officials, the same arrangement will be in place for VIP vehicles passing through the expressway. FASTag will also be affixed on their vehicle, although this FASTag will be of a different type, whose fee will be deducted from the account of the toll company. Later NHAI will pay the toll company. That is, the exempted vehicles registered in the list of NHAI will also have to pay toll fee like normal vehicles, but NHAI will pay it. NHAI officials also informed that local vehicles will also have to pay toll charges on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. These vehicles will not get any kind of local pass.

Bike-three wheeler stopped operating Only car-trucks and buses will operate on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Bikes, buggies, tractors and three wheelers have been banned. These vehicles will be able to go only via Meerut-Modinagar-Ghaziabad highway. NHAI has taken this step to prevent frequent accidents. This rule has come into effect from Thursday.

Don’t even stop at toll plaza

You will be able to travel without any restriction on Delhi Meerut Expressway. That is, even at the toll plaza, the barrier will not stop your vehicle. Toll will be collected through automatic number plate reader on the entire part (Delhi to Meerut). This system is being introduced for the first time on this expressway. That is, on reaching the toll plaza, the sensors installed there will read the FASTag on the vehicle and deduct the toll amount, even if the vehicle is not FASTag or there is no money in the FASTag account, the vehicle will be able to leave without any restriction. However, later the challan for violation of rules will reach the vehicle owner’s house.
