Delhi NCR Weather: According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in Delhi-NCR will not fluctuate significantly from December 28th to January 2nd. Daytime temperatures will remain around 20 to 21 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures may rise slightly on January 1st and 2nd. However, the cold wave is likely to affect only a few isolated areas during this period. This means there is no severe cold alert for the entire NCR.

According to the IMD, light to moderate fog is possible in the morning, but very dense fog is not currently expected until January 2nd. Wind speeds are expected to be around 10 kilometers per hour. This forecast applies to Delhi as well as Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Greater Noida.

According to Dr. Mahesh Palawat, Senior Meteorologist at Skymet Weather, two Western Disturbances are expected to be active in the mountainous regions. This could lead to snowfall and rain in Himachal Pradesh, the high altitude areas of Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir. Those traveling to the mountains may have the opportunity to experience a good deal of snow during this time.

Due to the influence of a Western Disturbance, light rain is possible in North Punjab, while foggy conditions may persist in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Rainfall activity is also expected to increase in South India during the final days of the year. Rain is expected in Delhi-NCR during the first week of January.

Weather experts say that temperatures may begin to drop sharply after January 3rd. This effect will be felt in Delhi-NCR as well, and the cold may intensify again. Overall, the weather in Delhi-NCR will be relatively mild during the first two days of the New Year. Mild chill, morning fog, and comfortable daytime temperatures will prevail, but be prepared for increased cold after January 3rd.
